At times, I freak out πto ask.. Aaria which pasta she’d like??π
90% chances fall on Lasagne (the longest process our Friday dinners) and Saturday left overs
But worth a mile ...π΄♀️
MEAT LASAGNE
Meat sauce
1/2 a bun of garlic finely chopped
Bay leaves
Peppercorns
Olive oil
Tomato purΓ©e or tinned tomatoes (2tins)
3large onions
1carrot finely chopped
Celery stalk 2finely chopped
Wochestershire
Mustard
Fresh or dried oregano and rosemary
Method:
Fry onions and garlic till golden brown
Mix mince with mustard, shire sauce, herbs, black pepper, salt, add over fried onions and garlic.
Allow to fry without Stirring..
Stir once oil comes out and repeat again.
In hoes the cannoned pulp tomatoes(2tins)
Salt and little red wine πSimmer till all the oil releases...
Keep aside...
White sauce
Butter 4tbspoons
Flour 4tablespoons
Milk 1litre
Nutmeg powder
Onion
Clove
Salt
Method:
Melt butter over a pan
Dust flour spoon by spoon
Whisk till a a soft paste (roux)
Add room temp milk over the room temp roux
Whisk over high flame
Add salt, pepper cheese and nutmeg powder After milk thickens to spoon sticking consistency
Ricotta or cream cheese filling:
Eggs 2
Ricotta (.350gms ) or (combine cottage cheese lenses with cream)
Parsley
Lightly Blended and kept a side
Lasagne sheets boiled and kept aside
Lasagne stacking:
In a rectangular glass dish
Line white sauce
Lasagne sheets cut accordingly to fit the dish and cover area
Meat sauce
White sauce
Mozerella cheese
Lasagne sheets
Ricotta cheese filling
Lasagne sheets
Meat sauce
White sauce
Mozerella
Lasagne sheets
White sauce and mozerella
Bake it for 180degrees
Till top is browned
You must try it once in a while trust me it is an amazing dish to pull off for your KIDS...
